Having returned to settle with his family in 2022, Stéphane Meyer signs here a tiny cuvée, from a family vineyard that yielded little in this demanding 2023 vintage, marked by a wet start to the season, a very hot summer, and drastic sorting in both the vineyard and the cellar. The grapes, well-ripened and deeply aromatic, were macerated for nine months before aging in three barrels, for a production of less than 900 bottles. The wine opens with ripe black fruit, an earthy depth, and a piercing minerality that takes Cabernet Franc far from classic varietal interpretations. The palate is intense but fresh, dense but never heavy, with that rare and soulful artisanal touch that evokes the great Loire reds.
