But in \u003cstrong\u003e2017,\u003c\/strong\u003e he took the plunge to become a full-fledged \u003cstrong\u003eartisan winemaker.\u003c\/strong\u003e He got his hands on vines, created his own vintages, and gave birth to \u003cstrong\u003eVinilibre,\u003c\/strong\u003e in the town of Gorges in the heart of \u003cstrong\u003eMuscadet.\u003c\/strong\u003e It is there, on a little less than \u003cstrong\u003e2 hectares\u003c\/strong\u003e, that he pampers \u003cstrong\u003eold Burgundy Melon\u003c\/strong\u003e vines. The particularity is that he pampers his vines without taking out the chemical arsenal. Christophe wants his vines to feel good, so he limits inputs and trusts native yeasts. The objective? Let the \u003cstrong\u003eBurgundy Melon\u003c\/strong\u003e express itself in its own way, in complete \u003cstrong\u003efreedom.\u003c\/strong\u003e But \u003cstrong\u003eVinilibre\u003c\/strong\u003e is not just a little corner of vines. It is also a \u003cstrong\u003enegotiable business,\u003c\/strong\u003e which means that Christophe acts as conductor for other grape varieties such as \u003cstrong\u003eGrenache, Syrah\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eCinsault.\u003c\/strong\u003e His credo is always the same: \u003cstrong\u003elet the grape variety speak\u003c\/strong\u003e.
