The Wanderings

Maïté and Warren are partners and as a couple, they founded Domaine Les Errances in 2017. Warren was trained, in part, by Thierry Germain of Domaine Des Roches Neuves. If they both started by buying organic grapes from local winegrowers to try their hand at natural winemaking, from 2018 they will recover some 5 hectares of their own vines. The height of luxury, the vines are already in organic farming since until now worked by Joël Menard of Domaine des Sablonnettes.
Schist soils are typical of the area.
Domaine Les Errances is very committed, they pamper each plot, and accompany their grapes until bottling with as little intervention as possible. They print their labels on eco-friendly paper and use beeswax to seal each bottle. Their aim is to offer us living wines, which reflect the expression of their terroir. When Fond la Neige is a 100% Chenin cuvée where the minerality of the soil is immediately apparent. The red vintages produced by Domaine Les Errances are generally more fruity, sometimes even bordering on rosé when Chenin, Grolleau and Gamay decide to combine as in the Kinhoyé vintage.
