Pierre Andrey

Pierre Andrey is a character apart, he divides his time between Luxembourg where he works as an engineer specializing in medical equipment and… his garage which serves as his vat!
Initiated by friends such as Michel Gahier or Alexandre Jouveaux, Pierre Andrey and his wife Florence Bouleaux chose to vinify as freely as possible. Supported by Bruno Schueller, they managed to settle on a first plot of 0.7ha of Pinot Noir near Metz. But the bulk of their grapes come from their harvests spent in the four corners of the French wine landscape: Alsace, Jura, Burgundy, Beaujolais...
The work is meticulous, very often single-varietal, and always piecemeal. Each vintage will highlight a very specific terroir. Four families of vinifications are to be discovered: from “verbe pampinea” wines to keep, to more raw vintages such as “vineae florentes”, “via concordiae” or even the blends and solera of “cantio familiae”. Production, however, remains confidential with around 3,000 bottles per year. The particularity in addition to the wines of Pierre and Florence? All their winemaking is carried out in demijohns!
