Julien Delrieu

Julien Delrieu is an Angevin winegrower based in the town of Faveraye-Machelle in the Loire. He began his adventure in the world of natural wine in 2010 with two friends by founding the Les Roches Sèches estate. This adventure ends in 2017 and that is when Julien Delrieu decides to go solo. Neighbor and friend of Stéphane Bernaudeau, he farms three and a half hectares of vines in organic farming. Vines mostly forty-five years old, facing east on the left bank of the Layon, a tributary of the Loire. Julien is an outstanding winemaker, he makes wine in the most natural way possible, without any inputs or added sulphites. Fermentations are carried out by native yeasts and the wines are neither filtered nor fined. The result is energetic and vibrant juices that charm with the quality of the fruit in the reds and the mineral depth in the whites.
For example, its Le Jeau vintage, pure Chenin, is a pure pleasure. It is a dry white wine, ripe but fresh, tense, with beautiful acidity and aromas of apples and quince.
Julien Delrieu is renowned for his vibrant wines, full of minerality, we strongly invite you to discover them without delay.
