Marie Courtin
A story of women and convictions
The Domaine Marie Courtin is a story of strong women. Marie Courtin — the great-grandmother of Dominique Moreau, the current winemaker in charge of the estate — managed the domain during World War I. With her husband at the front, she worked the land with horses. Thus, the foundations of the estate were laid, in the village of Polisot, in the Côte des Bar.
Dominique Moreau: biodynamics and precision
When Dominique decided to launch her project, the choice of organic and biodynamic farming was a natural one. Dominique Moreau originally aspired to become a homeopath and acupuncturist... Today, she cultivates 4.5 hectares of vines accordingly. Herbal teas and natural products are her trusted allies, and she enjoys an international reputation. Producing 20,000 bottles per year, her precision work allows her to satisfy the most curious wine enthusiasts.
