Le Domaine d'Edouard

Nestled in the heart of the Côtes d'Auxerre, Domaine d'Édouard embodies Édouard Lepesme's passion and dedication to the art of wine. With a background in wine marketing and training at the prestigious Lycée Viticole de Beaune, Édouard acquired invaluable expertise with several renowned winemakers, including Alice and Olivier de Moor and Claire Naudin, before taking over the reins of 13 hectares of dormant vines in 2014.
Sensitive to the exceptional potential of this terroir, Édouard quickly put his vision into action, converting the estate to certified organic viticulture in the early 2000s. Noble grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Aligoté, Gamay and César reveal their full character here, producing fine, fruity wines of exemplary consistency.
In the vineyards of Domaine d'Édouard, vines flourish on two distinct slopes, each steeped in its own terroir. On the north-facing slope, Jurassic and Cretaceous soils give the wines a unique mineral richness, while the south-facing slope is more chalky and faces east, revealing the purity and finesse of grapes bathed in morning light.
The estate's wines reveal all the finesse and authenticity of the Côtes d'Auxerre terroirs.
With a planted area of 14.5 hectares, equally divided between red and white grape varieties, Domaine d'Édouard produces around 50,000 bottles a year, each reflecting the talent and passion of a winemaker dedicated to excellence and respect for nature.
