Sébastien Jacques & Amélie Vuillet

Sébastien Jacques and Amélie Vuillet, a young couple from the Jura, made a bold decision in 2011: to settle in Molamboz, about ten kilometers from Arbois, to realize their dream: to become winegrowers. Their estate covers just over one hectare of vines, cultivated with a rigorous approach to organic farming, emphasizing tillage. They practice organic farming that respects the ecosystem, the soil is lightly scratched, plant covers are planted to maintain the soil and biodiversity, thus promoting the vitality of their vines. The harvest is carried out manually to preserve the quality of the grapes. The couple adopts a minimalist winemaking philosophy, using only native yeasts and avoiding inputs as much as possible. This “less interventionist” approach allows the wines to express themselves naturally and embody the Jura terroir from a new angle. Sébastien and Amélie offer us natural wines which are often made from blends of grape varieties. Their vintages are astonishing and delicious, and will delight lovers of natural Jura wines.
