Maenad House

Originally from Canada, Katie Worobeck has a boundless passion for the world of wine. Before settling in France, she travelled to wineries in Canada and South Africa, gaining valuable experience in the process. In 2017, her path led her to the renowned Jean-François Ganevat for an internship. Several years later, while continuing to work alongside Ganevat, she chose to settle in the south of the Jura, in Orbagna. It was here that Maison Maenad, her own wine estate, was born. Today, Katie passionately cultivates 3 hectares of vines, favouring the local grape varieties that are the pride of the region. Her philosophy is guided byorganic farming and biodynamic viticulture, where every gesture in the vineyard is carried out in such a way as to preserve biodiversity and the soil.
In the cellar, Katie Worobeck allows spontaneous fermentation to take place using indigenous yeasts. Like her mentor, she does not use sulphur in her wines.
Maison Maenad offers us exceptional and confidential natural wines steeped in its experience and respect for living things.
