Skyaasen House

Joachim and Olivia founded Maison Skyaasen in 2017. They found a small house in Meursault with vaulted cellars and an old winery. Olivia is American and Joachim is Norwegian. They work in humanitarian aid and finance respectively. Today, Joachim divides his time between his work at Domaine Chandon de Briailles andhis haute couture business at Skyaasen.
Like many expatriates, and obviously not born with vines in his family, Joachim has chosen to work with partner winemakers. All the grapes they buy are at leastorganically grown. The grapes come from carefully selected plots, with controlled yields and guaranteed quality.
In the cellar, the wines are fermented without exogenous yeasts, then matured in barrels of several wines. A small amount of SO2 is added at bottling if necessary.
The average annual production of some 4,500 bottles makes this a highly sought-after estate.
