Paul Gosset

The Gosset family has been established in the village ofAÿ, in the heart of the Marne Valley, for 2 generations now. In 2016, Paul Gosset took over from his father Michel Gosset. For him, most of the work is done in the vineyard. A keen observer and defender of soil life, Paul Gosset's first priority is to promote biodiversity in his vineyards. Very early on, Paul decided to work without weedkillers or insecticides. He started a project to plant trees around the edges and in his plots. He plants many green manures to maintain and decompact his soils.
In the cellar, the wines are fermented with indigenous yeasts, and receive a great deal of attention. No oenological make-up, Paul wants to remain faithful to the grapes he grows and harvests.
The common thread running through his range of champagnes is time. Four cuvées that follow the four seasons. The cuvée La Montre follows a perpetual reserve year after year. Des Jours et des Muids pays tribute to another perpetual reserve, this time initiated by his father.
A talent absolutely worth discovering for all those curious about Champagne.
