Jean Josselin

In 1854, the Josselin family, winegrowers from generation to generation, acquired their first parcel of vines in Gyé sur Seine, a charming Champagne village on the banks of the Seine.
From a few plots inherited from his parents, Jean Josselin, through hard work, built up a vineyard among the best hillsides, with evocative place-names: Beauregard, Davasgné, Cosvigne. In 1957, the great Champagne adventure began. He created his own champagne brand, Jean Josselin.
The vineyard is made up of 14 plots, each with a different exposure, giving the future wine greater diversity. At a distance of around 4 km from the estate, you have to cross paths, forests and valleys to discover our vines living peacefully to the rhythm of the moons and the seasons, lulled by a religious silence that is disturbed only by the presence of birds and game.
Jean Josselin is taking over the estate and modernising the vinification process: smaller doses, single-vine varieties, vintage wines... So many avenues to explore in the coming years!
