The Josselin family, winegrowers from generation to generation, acquired in 1854 the first plot of vines on the terroir of Gyé sur Seine, a charming Champagne village crossed by the Seine. From a few plots inherited from his parents, Jean Josselin, through hard work, created a vineyard among the best on the slopes, with evocative place names: Beauregard, Davasgné, Cosvigne. In 1957, the great Champagne adventure began. He created his Jean Josselin champagne brand. The vineyard is made up of 14 plots, they benefit from different exposures from each other, thus bringing greater diversity to the future wine. At a distance of approximately 4 km from the farm, you have to cross paths, forests and valleys to discover our vines living peacefully to the rhythm of the moons and the seasons, lulled by a religious silence that only birds and game disturb with their presence. Jean-Josselin recently took over the estate and modernized the winemaking: more restricted dosages, single varietals, vintages... So many avenues to explore in the coming years!
