Yohann Moreno

Yohann Moreno, grandson of a winemaker and son of a great chef, has been based in Durban-Corbières since 2013 in the beautiful region of Languedoc-Roussillon. He farms 8 hectares of family vines there, supplemented by rentals. It was after working and learning a lot with Maxime Magnon that he realized his dream of making his own wine on his native land. All its vines are certified organic or biodynamic. Yohann Moreno made this ethical and environmental choice to guarantee that each plot is pampered, without any use of chemicals, thus preserving the integrity and health of the soil and the vines.
The estate is mainly located on clay-limestone soils, sometimes also mixing limestone and shale. He thus wishes to cultivate grapes with a rich and diversified aromatic palette. Its wines are vinified with very little or no inputs, the estate advocates authenticity and purity by minimizing the use of oenological contributions and trying to bring out the purity and expression of the terroir. The aging of its wines is done in different containers depending on your desires and the vintage: fiberglass vintages, oak barrels... Each choice is designed to properly build the identity of the vintage. He cultivates several grape varieties typical of the Languedoc-Rousillon region such as Syrah, Grenache Blanc et Gris, Mourvèdre…
His wines are very well crafted, we particularly like their minerality, their great drinkability and their freshness.
Yohann Moreno is a young winemaker to follow closely, full of talent, who stood out from his first vintage. A raw talent whose work is certainly worth following in the coming years for all natural wine lovers. Each sip is a celebration of the Corbières terroir!
