Les Ciels Changeants

Phillip Hedderman, a winemaker of Scottish origin, is embarking on the Les Ciels Changeants project in 2022. His travels took him from New Zealand to Burgundy, where he perfected his art in the prestigious cellars of Pascal Marchand, Domaine Dujac, David Croix and Ata Rangi. It was during his wanderings that the Jura captured his heart, leading him to settle in Nevy-Sur-Seille, where he crafts wines of crystalline purity, expressing the terroir with minimal intervention. At the same time, he works for Damien Courbet. As for his first cuvées, the Savagnin 2022, from an east-facing parcel, Le Calvair, on Lias grey marl soils, offers an elegant, mineral experience despite a warm vintage. The Chardonnay 2022, from two plots in Menetru, reflects the diversity of the terroir, expressing the finesse and complexity of each location.
