Anders Frederik Steen and Anne Bruun Blauert
A free and sensitive approach to natural wine
Anders Frederik Steen and Anne Bruun Blauert , emblematic figures of natural wine, embody a free and artistic approach to viticulture. Based in Valvignères, in Ardèche , they share a unique vision where wine becomes a true expression of life.
Two atypical and complementary paths
Anders, a former sommelier, left Michelin-starred restaurants to delve into the world of winemaking, initially collaborating with winemakers such as Jean-Marc Brignot before forging his own path. At his side, Anne, a trained architect, brings a unique sensibility and an innovative perspective, making their approach even more comprehensive.
Viticulture without compromise, faithful to natural cycles
The estate is based on a simple but bold philosophy: to work without compromise, with absolute respect for natural cycles. On clay-limestone and volcanic soils, they cultivate a mosaic of grape varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, Merlot, Clairette and Chardonnay. The dried grapes, harvested at perfect maturity, are vinified without any additives , revealing vintages of astonishing purity and marked by sincerity.
Winemaking guided by intuition
Their vinification is an adventure in itself: each vintage tells a unique story, guided by intuition and attentive listening to the grape. The wines, often blends of grape varieties or produced through long macerations , are distinguished by their vibrant energy, their explosive aromatic palette, and a captivating texture.
An aesthetic in its own right
Anders and Anne are not limited by conventions; their labels, as surprising as their vintages, suggest boundless creativity.
Living wines, to be shared like works of art
Through their wines, Anders Frederik Steen and Anne Bruun Blauert redefine the very idea of terroir, offering bottles imbued with spontaneity, freedom, and emotion. These are living wines, to be enjoyed as one would discover a work of art: with curiosity, wonder, and a desire to share.
