Ugo Lestelle
Ugo Lestelle, wine as a wild outlet
A punk and instinctive trajectory
With Ugo Lestelle , labels disappear. This young winemaker, based in Saint-Chinian in the Languedoc-Roussillon region , has chosen wine as a cry , a raw expression , a way of speaking about the world without filters . Neither Burgundian nor Bordeaux- born, he came to wine as a reaction , driven by a fierce desire to do things differently . First a factory worker , then a self-taught and enlightened winemaker , Ugo learned quickly from those who cultivate the margins , forging his own path in a region still marked by the excesses of intensive viticulture .
Uncompromising viticulture
On a few hectares scattered across plots unsuitable for mechanization , Ugo Lestelle cultivates Carignan, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Macabeu grapes with an anarchic yet rigorous approach, in absolute respect for living organisms . No chemical products , no systematic tilling of the soil , minimal intervention .
