Les Volets Rouges
Young natural vines in Fleurie
A committed wine-growing operation in Beaujolais
Domaine Les Volets Rouges is a young winery located in Fleurie , one of the emblematic crus of Beaujolais . Founded in December 2022 by Antoine and Marie , the estate covers 4.11 hectares divided into eight separate plots , mainly planted with old Gamay vines , some of them centuries old , on steep hillsides with soils of decomposed pink granite and sand , typical of the Fleurie terroir .
Organic and biodynamic viticulture
Committed to environmentally friendly viticulture, Antoine and Marie practice organic and biodynamic agriculture , currently in their third year of conversion . The harvest is carried out manually , and the vinification is done without the addition of sulfites , favoring the use of concrete , stainless steel and concrete ovoid vats to preserve the purity and expression of the terroir .
Fresh and authentic natural wines
The estate's first harvest took place in 2023 , producing natural , fresh and fruity wines, aged in concrete vats and old demi-muids . Their minimalist approach in the cellar , with little or no added sulfites , aims to produce lively and authentic wines , faithfully reflecting the character of Gamay and the Fleurie terroir .
