Domaine de l'Iserand
A family heritage restored to the vineyard
Jeff Malsert, from the room to the pruning shears
After a career in the restaurant business, Jean-François (Jeff) Malsert founded Domaine de l'Iserand in 2011 on land in Sécheras, once cultivated by his grandfather. Located on the slopes of the Saint-Joseph appellation in the northernRhône Valley , this estate covers approximately 4 hectares of vines.
Traditional and respectful viticulture
Mule work and organic farming
Grown organically, the vines are worked with a mule, without chemical inputs , following traditional methods that respect the environment.
Fresh and vibrant Syrah wines
Minerality, fruit and transparency
The estate's wines, primarily made from Syrah grapes, are distinguished by their freshness, digestibility , and airy character. They benefit from the granite and mica-schist soils, which give them a unique minerality and complexity. Whether red or white, the wines of Domaine de l'Iserand express the purity and transparency of the fruit, testifying to the care taken in their vinification.
