Domaine Plageoles
Living memory of the ancient grape varieties of Gaillac
A pioneer and fervent defender of the indigenous Gaillac grape varieties , Domaine Plageoles has embodied the authenticity and wine-growing diversity of the Southwest for several generations. This family of passionate winegrowers works with determination to preserve the regional ampelographic heritage , by replanting forgotten varieties such as Mauzac , Ondenc , Prunelart and Verdanel .
Organic viticulture rooted in the terroir
The estate is managed according to the principles of organic viticulture , completely banning chemical inputs. This approach aims to promote the most sincere expression of the clay-limestone and sandstone soils, typical of the Gaillac terroir. Each bunch is the fruit of demanding manual work , in tune with the seasons.
Natural and unadulterated winemaking
In the cellar, indigenous yeasts and spontaneous fermentation are favored. Interventions are minimal , with a deep respect for the grape and its origin. This philosophy gives rise to lively, vibrant wines , steeped in history , a faithful reflection of a preserved territory.
A unique vision of Gaillac
Whether dry , oxidative , sparkling whites, structured or sweet reds, Plageoles wines offer a timeless and sincere interpretation of the appellation. An essential estate for lovers of natural wines , character and transmission .
