Les Quatre Piliers, a New Signature from Touraine

Valentin Desloges, from Burgundy to the Cher Valley

Domaine Les Quatre Piliers is located in Noyers-sur-Cher, in the heart of Touraine. After several experiences in large wine estates, notably with Jean-Marc Pillot and Coche-Dury in Burgundy, Valentin Desloges returned to his native land to take over the family vineyard and sign his first vintage in 2020. The estate spans 10 hectares, divided into nearly 25 small plots around four lieu-dits, one of which gave its name to the estate. This mosaic of terroirs mainly hosts Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, and Côt, on soils mixing tuffeau, clays, flint, and red clays.

Burgundian Precision Serving Loire Terroirs

Upon his arrival, Valentin converted the estate to organic farming. Harvesting is done by hand, fermentations occur with native yeasts, and aging is carried out with great precision, in carefully selected barrels to accompany the wine without masking its origin. Located in old caves dug into the tuffeau, the cellar offers ideal conditions for long and low-intervention aging.

The wines of Les Quatre Piliers are captivating due to their purity, energy, and deep salinity. Whether it's the Sauvignons, the Cabernet Francs, or the other single-vineyard cuvées, each bottle primarily seeks to express the place from which it originates. A young address that has become, in just a few vintages, one of Touraine's most promising signatures.
