Hannah Fuellenkemper, Abracadabra: boundless creativity in the heart of Auvergne

An unusual journey, from Europe to Auvergne

Originally from Germany, raised between the United States and the United Kingdom, Hannah Fuellenkemper first studied law in Amsterdam before discovering the world of natural wine, which completely changed her path. She then trained in the field with several renowned winemakers, notably Baptiste Cousin in the Loire, François Saint-Lô, Sylvain Bock, Gérald Oustric (Le Mazel), Julie Balagny, and Manuel Di Vecchi in Banyuls. After several years traveling from vineyard to vineyard, she finally settled in Auvergne, where she launched her project Abracadabra.

Now based in Pressat, near Brioude, Hannah cultivates a small plot of old vines in Boudes, while supplementing her production by purchasing organic grapes from winemakers she knows personally, both in Auvergne and in other French regions, Italy, or Spain.

Free, creative, and deeply vibrant wines

At Abracadabra, each vintage is a new adventure. Hannah follows no pre-established pattern: she composes her cuvées according to the available grapes, encounters, and current desires, readily comparing her work to that of a chef who creates recipes with seasonal ingredients. Vinifications are carried out with indigenous yeasts, with no inputs or minimal intervention, to preserve all the energy of the grapes.

Hannah Fuellenkemper's wines are distinguished by their freshness, spontaneity, and originality. Unexpected blends, grape varieties from several regions, and a unique graphic identity: each bottle tells a different story, while maintaining a clear common thread. A free and joyful signature that today makes Abracadabra one of the most creative projects on the new Auvergne wine scene.
