Domaine Peaux Rouges, the Loire at its finest
On the border of Maine-et-Loire , in the Angers region, Domaine Peaux Rouges stands out as a free spirit . Founded by a winemaker with strong convictions and a rugged personality , this estate breaks free from convention and follows a clear path: to make living , sincere , and uncompromising wine. Here, nature dictates the rhythm, and each vintage is a fragment of history, crafted with a handcrafted and radically natural approach .
Grapes, time, and nothing else
On a few hectares of organically cultivated vines, without herbicides or synthetic products, the work is done by hand, in close harmony with the vine. The grape varieties— Grolleau , Gamay , Cabernet Franc , Chenin —flourish on schist and silt soils , typical of Anjou Noir . In the cellar, the approach is minimalist: no sulfur, no added yeasts, no fining or filtration. The wines are born as they are, unadorned , often in amphorae or vats, and always with a focus on authenticity .
