Martin Texier
Free heir of the natural Rhône
From New York to Saint-Julien-en-Saint-Alban
Martin Texier, son of winemaker Éric Texier , embodies the new generation of winemakers living in the Rhône Valley . After studying economics and gaining experience as a sommelier in New York, he returned to his roots and settled in Saint-Julien-en-Saint-Alban , where he took over vineyards on granite and clay-limestone terroirs .
A living, unadulterated viticulture
Syrah, Grenache, Roussanne and respect for life
He works mainly with emblematic grape varieties of the region such as Syrah , Grenache , Carignan and Roussanne , adopting a completely natural approach: cultivation without chemical inputs, manual harvesting, fermentations with indigenous yeasts and aging in concrete tanks or large oak barrels, without filtration or sulfiting.
Fresh, clean and deeply expressive wines
Short macerations, minimal extraction
His wines are distinguished by their freshness, drinkability, and great aromatic purity, far removed from overly extracted styles. Martin favors gentle vinification, with short macerations and minimal extraction, in order to preserve the finesse of the fruit and the vitality of the terroir.
A sincere expression of the Rhône
Each vintage expresses a lively and sincere approach to the Rhône vineyard , offering juicy reds, luminous whites and an energy that immediately captivates.
