La Terre des Tilles
Domaine La Terre des Tilles, the rebirth of a forgotten vineyard in Burgundy
A bold career change
Originally from Til-Châtel, on the northern slopes of the Côte d'Or, Alcide Perrin initially pursued a career in international business law before returning to the land in 2020. He then began a two-year technical degree in viticulture and oenology in Beaune, while training with Sylvain Pataille , and conceived a winemaking project in an area where vines hadn't been planted for nearly 140 years. His ambition: to revitalize a neglected terroir by cultivating Burgundy's historic grape varieties with an approach that respects the environment.
A terroir rediscovered and vinified with care
The first planting of 2,500 m² of Chardonnay was launched in the spring of 2024, but as early as 2022, Alcide Perrin was producing wines from carefully selected grapes. Working organically and biodynamically , he favors slow pressing, aging in oak barrels, and minimal sulfur addition. Although the terroir appears slightly less calcareous than other areas of Burgundy, it is characterized by its puddingstone, sandstone, sand, and flinty clay , visual elements of a new viticultural identity. The first wines display a vibrant character , a lively freshness , and a true potential for the terroir to emerge.
Natural wines, freedom regained
Throughout the harvest, Domaine La Terre des Tilles asserts a clear vision: nature alone dictates the rhythm. Each wine is conceived as an expression of its terroir, without artifice, without compromise. The result is vibrant wines, driven by the purity of the fruit , mineral freshness , and a restrained yet palpable energy . The estate thus promises a new expression of Burgundy, imbued with freedom, rigor, and passion.
