Valfaccenda

Valfaccenda, ambassador of contemporary Roero

A family estate rooted in Piedmont

Valfaccenda , managed by Luca Faccenda and his wife Carolina Roggero , is a winery located in the heart of the Roero appellation in the Piedmont region of Italy . Founded in 2010 , this estate is dedicated to showcasing the region's traditional grape varieties , primarily Nebbiolo and Arneis .

Luca and Carolina cultivate approximately five hectares of vines , spread across several plots, including renowned vineyards such as Valmaggiore , according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture .

A demanding vineyard, between sand and limestone

The Valfaccenda vineyard is characterized by sandy and calcareous soils and steep slopes , making mechanization impossible and requiring intensive manual labor .

A traditional and minimally interventionist winemaking process

In the cellar, Luca Faccenda adopts a traditional and minimal-intervention approach , using indigenous yeasts and avoiding filtration as well as excessive sulfur additions . Vinification includes long macerations , and aging takes place in cement tanks and old barrels , allowing for a pure and authentic expression of the grapes .

A sustainable and sensitive vision of the Roero

Valfaccenda stands out for its commitment to sustainable viticulture and a winemaking philosophy that prioritizes the faithful expression of the terroir . The wines produced here convey a genuine passion for nature and respect for winemaking traditions .

Thanks to their dedication and meticulous approach , Luca and Carolina manage to capture the very essence of Roero in every bottle. This estate is considered a shining example of the Roero renaissance , standing proudly alongside the great vineyards of the neighboring Langhe .

Their hard work and respect for the land quickly made Valfaccenda a respected name in the world of wine . Valfaccenda wines are prized for their depth , complexity , and ability to faithfully express the unique characteristics of their terroirs , thus contributing to the growing reputation of this exceptional wine region .
