Champagne Perrine Fresne
Perrine Fresne: a free-spirited winemaker in the Petite Montagne de Reims
Perrine Fresne is part of this young generation of winemakers who are shaking up the established norms of Champagne . At the helm of her own micro-estate since 2020 , she has settled in Sermiers , a Premier Cru village nestled in the Petite Montagne de Reims , on a terroir often dominated by cooperatives . There, she brings a unique, artisanal, and demanding voice to the winemaking process .
Family legacy, personal vision
The daughter of winemakers , Perrine is not content to perpetuate the story: she is writing a new chapter . She takes over 3 hectares of vines from the 9 hectares of the family estate , located in about fifteen different places spread between Sermiers and Villers-aux-Noeuds , and cultivates them in her own way, with an independent and committed approach .
Respectful viticulture, at the service of life
Perrine Fresne manages her vines in organic conversion , with a strong sensitivity to biodiversity and soil life . No herbicides , careful manual work , constant attention to living things : her work reflects a deep attachment to the Champagne region and sustainable viticulture .
A free and sensitive winemaking process
In the cellar, Perrine adopts a minimal-intervention approach : spontaneous fermentations , indigenous yeasts , long aging periods … Her goal: to let the terroir speak for itself, without makeup or artifice . Every action is carefully considered to preserve the purity and precision of her wines , in a decidedly artisanal spirit .
