Clos des Figuiers
Clos des Figuiers – Living Wines of the Southwest
In the heart of the rolling hills of Lot-et-Garonne, between Côtes de Bergerac and Côtes de Duras , Clos des Figuiers cultivates the art of living wine with rare exacting standards. Here, the vines grow on soils clay-limestone bathed in sunlight, offering to Merlot and at Sauvignon Blanc a unique depth and intensity. Since its takeover by Lily and Thierry, former owners of a wine bar in Brighton, the estate has undertaken a conversion to organic farming , relying on biodynamics and regenerative practices: natural grassing, gentle pruning and manual harvesting.
Authentic and vibrant vintages
In red, Merlot is showcased in a variety of cuvées. From The Sun Light to Soleil Noir, several extractions and different approaches are used to bring out the full potential of this grape variety. The result is wines with deep or translucent colors, ripe or crisp aromas, and palates that are velvety or more structured. In white, Sauvignon Blanc expresses all the freshness and mineral tension of the terroir, with notes of white fruit and citrus delicately oaked. Each wine is vinified with minimal intervention, without artifice, and aged in a way that preserves the energy and purity of the fruit.
These wines embody the soul of the Southwest : generous, honest, and deeply rooted in their terroir. At Clos des Figuiers , they don't just make wine: they cultivate a living connection between the land, the winemaker, and the glass.
