Rioumix, a new breath of life in the southern Charente region

A few hectares of Ugni-blanc and Colombard in Saint-Félix

Located in Saint-Félix, in the southern Charente, Rioumix was born around a few hectares of Ugni-blanc and Colombard, cultivated organically since the early 2000s by Jean-Marc Billet. On these clay-limestone soils, Jean-Marc has been experimenting for years with cover crops, soil tillage, and manures, with the same idea in mind: to support the vines as accurately as possible and get the best out of this place.

Jean-Marc Billet and Pierre Charrier, a four-hand estate

In 2020, Pierre Charrier joined Jean-Marc. A gentle transition then began, conceived as a true four-hand collaboration, where each person's experiences, intuitions, and desires nourish the project. At Rioumix, there are no ready-made recipes: a fierce desire for diversification, creativity, and integrity, with a lot of patience and method, both in the vineyards and in the cellar.

2025, the first cuvées and everything yet to be invented

2025 marks the birth of the first Rioumix cuvées, including Introgression and Teusegrol. A first chapter for an estate still under construction, driven by the desire to experiment and forge its own path. At Rioumix, everything is still to be invented – and that's precisely what makes the adventure so exciting.
