Théo Blet, the new generation of Saumurois

Courchamps, a family legacy brought back into the spotlight

Based in Courchamps, in the heart of the Saumur vineyard, Théo Blet represents the fourth generation of a family of winegrowers. For many years, the family estate's 16 hectares were destined for the cooperative cellar. Upon his arrival, Théo chose a different path: to select the most beautiful plots and create his own cuvées to reveal the full potential of this viticultural heritage.

The estate is managed using organic farming practices, with meticulous work in the vineyard and exclusively manual harvests. For his first cuvées, Théo relies on two emblematic lieux-dits: La Peyanne, made from Chenin on tuffeau soils, and Le Corbin (also called Les Fabureaux depending on the source), made from Cabernet Franc on more sandy clay-limestone soils.

Precise wines, already essential

In the cellar, winemaking prioritizes simplicity and respect for the grapes: spontaneous fermentations, aging in multi-vintage barrels, and minimal intervention. Produced in very confidential quantities, Théo Blet's cuvées are distinguished by their purity, tension, and great precision. In just a few vintages, he has established himself as one of the most promising young talents in the Saumurois region, with wines that accurately reflect the finesse of Saumur's limestone terroirs.
