The Orchard Muse
La Muse du Verger, peasant distillation in the heart of the Causses
A craft workshop nestled in stone and memory
The Orchard Muse is installed in a old vaulted cellar , in the heart of the charming The medieval village of Saint-Beauzély , along the old Roman road (GR 62). This workshop is the work of Olivier Luspin , a former sales engineer, who founded this project in 2015 out of love for forgotten fruits , forgotten orchards and of the Traditional distillation . Around a Charentais copper still , it transmits a ancestral know-how , by offering guided tours allowing you to discover each step, from the harvesting of the fruits to the tasting of the spirits.
Local spirit, recipes and commitment
The domain develops aperitifs, liqueurs and eaux-de-vie Made from wild-harvested fruit or fruit grown in untreated orchards, without chemicals. The eaux-de-vie, distilled twice, offer fragrant variations—plum, mirabelle plum, Williams pear, quince, raspberry, mandarin, apricot, orange—depending on the season. La Muse du Verger also offers a service of Custom distillation , reviving the tradition of "home distillers", to distill the fruits of individuals in a friendly and committed setting.
