Champagne Insu
Champagne INSU, the singular audacity of Hautvillers
Cosmopolitan roots and a benchmark terroir
Born from a return to its roots, the Champagne INSU estate has come to life in Hautvillers , the historical birthplace of champagne, thanks to the vision of Pierre-Gabriel , heir to a family plot and with a background spanning Dakar and Bordeaux. With a strong commitment to growing and producing wines, now converted to organic farming , he cultivates old plots – notably a Pinot Noir planted in 1971 on silty-clay soil and millstone grit – to craft wines that reflect the unique character of each terroir.
Living Champagnes, sobriety and intensity
At Champagne INSU, winemaking follows a single credo: letting the soil speak for itself. The fermentations are Spontaneous fermentation , without filtration or fining, and aging takes place in noble vessels: barrels, casks, or stoneware, depending on the cuvée. The single-vineyard cuvées – vintage, undosed, and predominantly 100% Pinot Noir – surprise with their inner maturity, their fleshy texture, and their fine, integrated bubbles. The style is that of an uncompromising Champagne. vibrant , racy , built on a saline, discreet but determined finish.
A free signature
Champagne INSU embodies the freedom of a winemaker who is master of his own destiny, choosing to give voice to little-known terroirs rather than standardization. Each bottle is an invitation to rediscover champagne from the perspective of vibrancy, authenticity, and singularity – a testament to terroir and craftsmanship, without artifice.
