Maison Réno
A New Generation of Natural Wines in Burgundy
A family legacy and an international journey
The Domaine de Réno Pacalet is located between the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits and Beaune. After spending several summers working at a wine estate in Tuscany from 2014 to 2016 and earning a Master's degree in Strasbourg, Réno Pacalet joined the family estate, Philippe Pacalet, in 2019.
He initially focused primarily on white wines during harvest seasons. In 2020, although international projects were considered, the pandemic led him to stay and further develop his skills alongside his father, working across vineyard, cellar, and commercial activities.
In 2021, he earned his BTSA Viticulture and Oenology diploma in Beaune, officially validating his technical expertise.
Maison Réno: The birth of a personal identity
In 2023, the creation of Maison Réno in Chassagne-Montrachet marked a new chapter, producing his own wines from carefully selected terroirs.
Influenced by exchanges with his father Philippe Pacalet and other renowned winemakers, Réno Pacalet’s philosophy emphasizes natural methods, authenticity of the terroir, and a minimal use of sulfites.
The winemaking principles at the estate include strict grape sorting, the use of indigenous yeasts, and careful ageing in vats or barrels, for both red and white wines.
