A Franco-American adventure rooted in Languedoc

Domaine Hors Ciel , located in Montouliers , in the Minervois , Languedoc , was founded by Victor Gourreau and Emma Olson . Victor , the grandson of a winemaker and passionate about the wine world since childhood, has acquired extensive experience in Italy , in sommellerie and wine tourism , as well as in fermentation via brewing and baking . Emma , met in Portland during a bakery internship , shares his passion.

From artisanal beginnings to the birth of the domain

In 2019 , the couple began their first winemaking at home with demijohns . Motivated by these experiences, they purchased 3 hectares of Mourvèdre in 2021 , cultivated organically and biodynamically .

A first vintage full of lightness

Their first vintage is remarkable, with airy , fluid , fresh and balanced wines, the fruit of gentle extractions and infusions of Mourvèdre .
