Champagne Thomas de Marne
A natural transmission in the heart of the Côte des Bar
Vineyard work founded on patience and maturity
Valerie Frison has been growing her few hectares of vines organically since 2003, in the Côte des Bar region where Pinot Noir is king. It's in Ville sur Arce, in the south of the Champagne region, that Valérie - recently joined by her son Thomas de Marne - works her vines with all the respect they deserve. On the face of it, the plan is simple: grow healthy grapes and pick them when ripe, so that all you have to do is accompany the wine to the cellar.
Respectful winemaking to reveal the essence of the grape
Little intervention during vinification, spontaneous fermentation in barrels and little sulphur. Like the champagnes we love, they are not measured out and are made from a single harvest.
A new generation ready to write the next chapter
Thomas is gradually taking over the estate under his own name.
