Domaine Breton
Domaine Breton, located in the Loire Valley, is a family winery founded in 1886. For more than four generations, the Breton family has cultivated vines between the Loire and the Vienne, producing wines from the Bourgueil, Chinon and Vouvray appellations.
Committed and respectful viticulture
Organic, biodynamic and hands-on approach
Committed to organic and biodynamic viticulture, Catherine and Pierre Breton, the current owners, have adopted environmentally friendly practices. They do not use chemical fertilizers or herbicides, favoring natural methods to preserve the biodiversity of their plots. The harvest is carried out manually, and fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, without the addition of chemicals. The wines are neither filtered nor fined, and the addition of sulfites is limited to the strict minimum, if any.
Iconic Loire cuvées
Cabernet Franc and Chenin in pure expression
The estate is renowned for its red wines made from the Cabernet Franc grape variety, particularly in Bourgueil and Chinon, as well as for its white Vouvray wines made from Chenin Blanc. Among the flagship vintages are Nuits d'Ivresse , a Bourgueil without added sulfites, and La Dilettante , a pure expression of the terroir.
A balance between tradition and modernity
Domaine Breton embodies the excellence of natural wines from the Loire, combining tradition and innovation to offer authentic vintages that respect their environment.
