Domaine Ginglinger: in the heart of the vibrant Alsatian terroir

Based in Eguisheim, the Ginglinger Estate is one of the oldest family estates in Alsace , cultivated today by Jean-François Ginglinger . Heir to a long winemaking tradition, he took over the family business in the 1990s with a strong vision: making living wine . The 6 hectares of the estate, certified in biodynamics , are worked by hand, without chemical inputs, on the clay-limestone and sandstone soils of Eguisheim and the Grand Cru Pfersigberg. The work in the vineyard is respectful of living things, the yields are low and the harvest is always manual.

In the cellar, The vinifications are natural , the fermentations are slow, with indigenous yeasts, without chaptalization or fining. The wines are not filtered, and sulfur is only used in homeopathic doses or not at all. Jean-François Ginglinger develops uncompromising wines , of remarkable purity, which sincerely reflect the strength and identity of their terroir.

The Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Sylvaner and Pinot Noir from the estate are distinguished by their tension, their energy and their aromatic intensity . Each vintage is an author's wine, at once precise, free and expressive. The estate is today a pillar of natural wine in Alsace , sought after by amateurs from all over the world.
