Champagne MABE, a free and contemporary interpretation of the Champagne terroirs
A recently built house, designed as a workshop showcasing local produce.
Created in 2023 , Champagne MABE was born from a clear desire: to explore the diversity of Champagne through Partner winemakers committed to organic and biodynamic agriculture . The grapes come from several emblematic areas — Côte des Blancs , Reims Mountain And Marne Valley — in order to combine the expressions of terroir, exposure, and climate. Depending on the vintage and the quality of the harvest, MABE works one, two or all three Champagne grape varieties , always with the idea of respecting the identity of each year.
Minimal intervention winemaking and expression of the vintage
In the cellar, the approach is intended to Simple and precise . Fermentation takes place in indigenous yeasts , the Aged in oak barrels , and oenological intervention is reduced to the essentials. The addition of limited sulfur during pressing , without any further protection, helps to preserve the Reading the wine , its energy and its natural vibration. The champagnes of MABE they primarily seek the accuracy , the matter and the readability of the vintage , in an artisanal and sincere spirit, far from rigid standards.
