Four generations, one singular vision

Established for over a century in Rilly-la-Montagne , in the heart of the Montagne de Reims , the Herbert family cultivates the art of champagne with consistency and audacity. The 3 hectares of the estate are divided between Rilly , Ludes , Trois-Puits and Mailly-Champagne, all plots with a strong character, which shape the identity of the house. While generations have succeeded one another, the fourth - now at the helm - breathes a breath of freedom, between respect for heritage and a desire to shake up the codes.

Champagnes designed like wines

At Herbert & Co , each vintage is vinified exclusively in Burgundy barrels , with long aging on lees — never less than three years before leaving the cellar. The practices are ethical and respectful of the soil , far from chemicals, to let the terroir express itself without artifice. Here, champagne is not just a festive bubble: it is a a wine in its own right , complex and precise, capable of enhancing an aperitif as well as a great dish.
