Les Champs Libres is the solo project of René-Jean Dard. Established for several years in the Rhône Valley with his sidekick François Ribo, he is one of the pioneers of natural wine. It was together that they began in the 1990s to work their vines in organic farming, and to vinify their grapes as simply as possible. Over time, winemakers have acquired a solid reputation based on their style, which is the opposite of body-built Rhône wines.

A new chapter in free-form winemaking

A personal structure, a radical approach

The years pass, and René-Jean Dard gradually wishes to set up his own structure. He thus created Les Champs Libres. Under this name, he buys grapes from organic farming and vinifies them without any input.
