Roc Breïa
Bright Renaissance in the Mâconnais
A project undertaken in the heart of southern Burgundy
Roc Breïa was born in 2018 on the hillsides of Bray , not far from Cluny , by the will of Olivier Leriche , his wife Émilie and their partner Arnaud Chambost . Together, they are bringing forgotten limestone terroirs back to life, driven by the desire to produce vibrant and pure wines. Their name, "Roc Breïa" , evokes in old French the clear rock , a nod to these luminous and living soils which permeate their wines.
The vineyard covers 6 hectares , cultivated organically with a strong biodynamic approach. From the start, no compromises: no herbicides , no chemicals , just careful work to promote soil life and reveal the authenticity of the terroir.
Chiseled wines full of energy
In the cellar, the work remains faithful to natural principles. Manual harvests , spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts and the extremely moderate use of sulphur allow the wines to express themselves without artifice. Aging in old tuns and barrels prolongs the tension and natural minerality of the place.
Roc Breïa wines are distinguished by their brilliance , crystalline purity and saline depth . Chardonnay or Pinot Noir, each bottle captures the spirit of a lively and vibrant Mâconnais, where fruit, freshness and elegance combine wonderfully.
