Les fils de Charles Trosset

Estate of the sons of Charles Trosset: an emblem of Mondeuse in Arbin

A family history rooted in the Savoyard region

The Domaine des fils de Charles Trosset , located in Arbin in Savoie , has been managed by Louis Trosset since 2013 , following the retirement of his brother Joseph and the secession of 2013. This 2.5 hectare estate is dedicated exclusively to the cultivation of Mondeuse , the emblematic grape variety of the region . Formerly managed in mixed farming, the estate has evolved to specialize in this grape variety. The vines , aged 25 to 50 years , are planted on varied soils , including pebbles , Kimmeridgian white marl and ferric red earths . These various types of soil contribute to the complexity and richness of the wines .

Rigorous and artisanal viticulture

The estate adopts a sustainable viticultural approach, which involves environmentally friendly management with manual work of the soil and manual , un-destemmed harvests. Fermentation is carried out using indigenous yeasts . The vatting lasts between 8 and 10 days , followed by aging in stainless steel vats , plot by plot , in order to preserve the uniqueness of each terroir . The estate produces around 20,000 bottles per year , divided between three main vintages: "Harmonie" , "Prestige des Arpents" and "Confidentiel" .

Three exceptional vintages reflecting the terroir

These wines are renowned for their depth , density and elegance , and are particularly suited to ageing . "Harmonie" is a cuvée that expresses the finesse and balance of the Arbin terroir , while "Prestige des Arpents" is distinguished by its structure and complexity , ideal for extended aging . "Confidentiel" is a more limited production, highlighting the purest and most refined expression of Mondeuse . Louis Trosset perpetuates the family legacy by producing wines that reflect the purity and class of the Arbin terroir . His meticulous management and respect for winemaking traditions contribute to the renown and consistent quality of the estate's wines. Through his rigorous practices and commitment to excellence , Louis Trosset continues to honor his family's winemaking heritage while affirming his own vision of Savoie wine .
