La Ferme des 7 Lunes
La Ferme des Sept Lunes , biodynamic freshness in the heart of Saint-Joseph
A resolute conversion to the living
Located in Bogy , on the right bank of theRhône , between Vienne and Valence, Jean Delobre transformed the family farm into a wine estate in 2001, after having been a farmer since 1984. The estate, initially in mixed farming, abandoned the cooperative cellar to produce its own organic vintages in 1997, with full certification in organic farming and then in biodynamics.
Diverse viticulture, wines without artifice
Today, the estate covers approximately 10 hectares of vines , planted mainly with Syrah , but also Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier ; to which are added 7 hectares of cereals , 10 hectares of meadows and 1.5 hectares of apricot trees , ensuring careful biodiversity . The harvest is manual , fermentation takes place in open concrete vats , without yeast or additives, followed by long macerations of 10 to 20 days . The wines are neither fined nor filtered , and the little sulfur used remains homeopathic .
The vintages signed La Ferme des Sept Lunes — from the juicy Vin de France Glou to the elegant Saint-Joseph red and white — combine freshness, purity, elegance and length , embodying the spirit of the natural wines of the Rhône Valley .
