Gaël Petit
Heir to a great name from Tavel
A wine-growing lineage since the 16th century
Owner of Domaine Moulin-La-Viguerie , one of the oldest in Tavel , Gaël Petit embodies the revival of the appellation. Coming from a line of winemakers dating back to the 16th century, he succeeded Mireille Petit-Roudil, thus perpetuating the family tradition. Since 2008, he has been producing his own vintages, inspired by the wise advice of Éric Pfifferling of Domaine de l'Anglore.
A mosaic of terroirs serving rosé
Grape varieties and soils in perfect harmony
The estate covers 4 hectares spread across the most beautiful terroirs of Tavel. Each grape variety is planted on specific soils: Grenache Noir and Cinsault on clay soils with limestone scree, Syrah on clay soils covered with pebbles, Mourvèdre and Bourboulenc on sandy and alluvial soils, and Clairette on very chalky soil.
Sensitive viticulture connected to the living
From the Burgundian Council to organic certification
Certified in organic farming since 2021, Gaël Petit adapts his viticulture according to the reactions of living organisms, supported by soil experts Lydia and Claude Bourguignon.
Infused, subtle and complex rosés
Authenticity and respect for the environment
His wines, truly fruity and complex infusions with delicate tannins, suggest his commitment to environmentally friendly practices and a constant quest for authenticity.
