L'Ivresse de la Comète
L’Ivresse de la Comète, a free and incandescent Jura
An artisanal project between energy and intuition
L’Ivresse de la Comète is a young Jura estate run by Julien & César (who trained notably with Jean-Yves Bizot and Thomas Popy) - former art school students - where each cuvée is born from a direct dialogue between the grape, the vintage, and the winemaker's touch. Located in the Jura, the estate is part of this new generation that favors a sensitive interpretation of the terroir, far from rigid frameworks and ready-made recipes.
The vines are worked with care, with respect for living things, using practices close to organic farming and a desire to preserve the natural balance of the soils. The plots, often human-sized, allow for precise monitoring and constant adaptation to the year's conditions.
Living wines, without make-up
In the cellar, the line is clear: minimal intervention, fermentation with native yeasts, no correction, and very limited use of sulfur, or even none depending on the cuvées. Vinifications primarily aim to allow the raw material to express itself, without constraint.
The wines of L’Ivresse de la Comète are like their name: vibrant, unpredictable, sometimes disconcerting but always sincere. They possess that tension characteristic of the Jura, combined with a fruity energy and a freedom of tone that makes each bottle unique. A still discreet estate, but one that is fully part of the revival of Jura's natural wines.
