Domaine Racines Rebelles is a small estate located along the slopes of the Luxembourg Moselle , near Grevenmacher and Dreiborn , where the hillsides and limestone soils shape wines of character. The project is led by Kaja Kohv , a sommelier who chose to take the plunge and become a winemaker without a family tradition in winemaking , driven by a strong desire: to work the vines by hand , respecting biodiversity and natural rhythms, in order to express the personality of the terroir in her wines.

A handcrafted, pure and vibrant approach

The vineyard covers approximately 2.3 hectares , comprising traditional Moselle grape varieties such as Elbling (indigenous), Pinot Blanc , Auxerrois , Riesling , Pinot Gris , St. Laurent , and Pinot Noir , cultivated without irrigation and harvested by hand to guarantee healthy and expressive fruit. The winemaking approach is artisanal and minimally interventionist : spontaneous fermentations, aging in large oak casks or stainless steel tanks depending on the cuvée, and a desire to let the limestone minerality of the soils speak for itself without masking or overpowering it.

Racines Rebelles wines are renowned for their purity and nuanced expression of the Moselle terroir , with profiles ranging from vibrant, saline tension to broader, more flavorful textures. The estate reflects a generation of winemakers who prioritize biodynamic practices, biodiversity, and manual labor to produce wines that are alive, expressive, and deeply rooted in their landscape.
